This week sees the full range of Marston's bottled 'Revisionist' craft beers brought to market with a national listing in over 400 Tesco stores.

 

The bottled range was developed exclusively for Tesco following an innovation day held for their Beer buying team by Marston's in the Autumn of 2013, where we shared the development of the 'Revisionist' draught range. The decision to create the bottled range for Tesco's Spring 2014 range review window was taken soon after, and so began a fastrack process to bring the range to market.   

 

Having created the Revisionist concept for Marston's, my role has been to co-ordinate the project with their commerical & production teams, together with the Tesco Beer Buying and Technical Development teams. We have delivered the project in four months, when normally it would require nine months to bring to market. It's been a great collborative team effort.

 

The range is now instore with three of the beers found in the world/speciality fixture and the other four in the Premium Bottled Ale fixture. It has delivered a category solution for Tesco to signpost their own craft beer offer through Marston's team of brewers' re-interpretions of classic and contemporary beer styles.   

 

Attention now shifts towards creating PR and consumer content for the range with food matching recommendations and beer cocktail recipes.

 

Rye is my favourite, closely followed by Saison and Dark IPA. Try the beers for yourself at your nearest Tesco.
